Why study primates?

Of all animals, the bonobo is the closest genetic relation to humans
Why do we study primates to learn about humans? What can we hope to learn about humans by studying primates?

  1. Supposely they are very similar to humans and sometimes they do major experiment with them becuse they cannt do it with humans.

  5. i really dont understand why we study the agression of apes and how they have sex and stuff like that. we did not descend from apes were nothing like them so why are we forced to study them...?
