Not all cultures marry their partners based on romantic love. In India and Pakistan marriage are arranged based on the wishes of their parents. In some cultures, marriages serve to form alliances between different familes. Which way do you think is better? Explain your reasons!
I think romantic love is better if your trying to get married. For the reasons that if you are gonna be with someone for the rest of your life then you got to make sure that atleast you'll have stuff in comon with one another or else you will be very unhappy person.

ReplyDeleteThat's a good point. Just to play devil's advocate; in places where people choose their spouse, they get divorced at much lower rates.

ReplyDeleteI think it depends on the culture...if that's what they have always done, then it's really up to them. Usually arranged marriages are meant to further or increase a family's wealth.
