The second amendment to the constitution reads:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This part of the constitution has generally been interpreted as giving citizens the right to own guns.
The question is this:
How can the city of Chicago have a handgun ban while the Constitution says people have a right to have guns? Do you think that people should be able to have guns?
I bet they found a loophole and made a law stopping people from having handguns
ReplyDeleteThat law was appealed....I think we should be able to be to carry guns, for the simple facted that time is changing and its dagerous out there..
ReplyDeleteDo to the high level of violence in chicago its just better to ban it. This law was just appealed but I still think it should be ban because of the violence and there are many laws that don't follow the constitution.
ReplyDeleteSabrina
